Working with Newsgroups

The most efficient way to access most Newsgroup commands is with the Right Click Menu (Group Pane) or a Toolbar button (see configuring the toolbar ). You can use the Newsgroup Menu, but that is slow.
You can override global settings and have custom settings for each group, such as signatures, storage and purging options, user name, decode directories, custom headers, and more with Properties and Overrides .
A common question is: How do I get older articles or all articles for a group? The answer is to use the slider on the General Tab in Newsgroup - Properties and Overrides

Tip: Many Newsgroup commands will work on multiple groups at once. In the newsgroup pane, hold down the CONTROL key while selecting multiple random groups, or hold the SHIFT Key to select a continuous range.
