Newsgroup Properties and Overrides

(or use the right click pop-up menu in the group pane)

With these options, you can customize certain settings for specific newsgroups and override global settings. For example, you can:

·      Get older articles, or all available articles, from the server

·      Assign a user friendly nickname to a newsgroup

·      Exclude the group when the server retrieves all headers

·      Override Article Storage settings (headers only or bodies)

·      Override Global Purge and Compact Settings

·      Use another identity and override Email address, Full Name, Decode Directory, Article download limit, Custom Headers, and Signature

·      Change the font and background color of the group pane itself
