Tips

·       Use the Image Factory.

·      Use Zoom. Press "Z" (put focus in the thread pane to start). Switch panes with 1, 2, 3 or TAB. Press "Z" again to un-zoom. This way you can use the whole screen to show the thread list.

·      Use the thread columns to sort by subject, size, date, or author. Unless you want to read articles, there is no reason to thread articles. Sorting makes it easier to select entire batches of articles for decoding or deleting.

·      Sometimes a series is mixed up in other threads. Use the to isolate that series quickly. Press "/" (forward slash).

·      Gravity may be confused about parts numbering or subjects. You can usually these.

·      Set Gravity to , if desired.

Batch decoding or deleting: Selecting Multiple Articles
One very fast and easy way to select multiple articles is by dragging with the mouse (hold down the left mouse button). You can also use CONTROL and SHIFT for selecting ranges. While holding SHIFT you can use the mouse or the Page Up/Down keys or arrow keys.
·       Use QuickFilter to isolate a subject or use column sorting to create a continuous selection area.
Filters
It can be helpful to create , such as Subject contains - ".mp3" (or "\.mp3" with PCREs) to limit the view to the types of items of interest. These conditions can be combined with a "Complete Binaries" condition. If you want to use a regular expression and match the dot, you must escape it like so: \.zip.
To avoid small articles with no attachments you can combine the filter with "Lines > 250" or whatever. Use the advanced tab of the filter editor to enter the lines condition.

Stop  Gravity from re-fetching articles
Gravity has a little quirk, which applies to single part articles. Assume you download an article and the encoded text shows in the article pane. If the focus is in the thread pane, and you tell Gravity to decode, it will fetch the entire article from the server.
The solution is to place the mouse focus in the article pane before issuing the decode command. Gravity will decode immediately without fetching the article from server.
