Post a Usenet Article

Use one of these commands to post a new Usenet article:

·      Tool Bar:     Post (P)

·      Menu:  Article > Post

·      Pop up menus in the Newsgroup or Thread panes - "Post"

·      Press "P"
Posting a text message to one newsgroup without attachments is simple.

1.   Open a newsgroup.
2.   Issue one of the above Post commands.
3.   Fill in the subject and type the article message.
4.      Check Spelling from the Options menu or toolbar button (unless you have set the spell checker to run automatically on send).
5.      Send - The article is sent to the Outbox.

Notes:
When you SEND a post, it is placed in the Outbox. A background thread polls the Outbox periodically and posts unsent articles. This happens automatically, you do not have to do anything. If you need to stop a SEND, quickly disconnect and go to the Outbox.

·      When you "Post" - Gravity fills in the field with the currently open newsgroup

·      If you intend to cross post to more than one group, you can select multiple groups in the group pane before posting. You can also add the other group(s) in the compose window.

·      You can remove or add groups in the text box. Or, use the "Choose Groups" button to add groups.

See The topic for a description of the various posting options.
