Kill File and Filtering Tools

Gravity's has tools for helping you see what is important or what is not. The simplest tools are the standard tools (Bozo bin) and commands.
More advanced methods include display filtering, rules, and scoring, all of which have their own chapters.

Standard Tools Topics

Terminology

Filtering - In Gravity "filtering" means to use a display filter. In other newsreaders, filtering may mean kill-filing.Kill or Plonk – To "Kill File" or "plonk" an author – use the Bozo Bin. The toolbar button for "Mark Thread as Read" is abbreviated in the tool tip as "Kill" thread. This command marks the current articles in the thread as read. It does not kill future incoming articles in the thread. You would use the "Ignore Thread" command for that purpose.
