How To Sort Newest to Oldest

The short answer is that you have to edit the default display filter (or whatever filter you are using) to sort descending. To edit the filter:
Click the Filters button on the filter bar
(Or "Newsgroup - Define Display Filter …")

Edit the filter to sort descending.
