Introduction to Microsoft New ChangJie
Microsoft New ChangJie is an intelligent input method based on the legacy ChangJie method. Before, while using ChangJie, perhaps you could not remember the composition for a character or one of the radicals. New ChangJie not only accepts a complete set of radicals, but also a set containing * replacing a key or keys. If you forget the radicals, you can still type Chinese. * (wildcard) stands for any key, expect the one at the first position. It may replace 0 to 4 ChangJie keys. That is, apart from the first radical, all the radicals that you do not remember can be replaced with *. For more information on using *, refer to Entering Chinese. When you using New ChangJie to input radicals or when you need to select a character, New ChangJie will automatically make a choice for you according to the context. If the selection is not what you want, you can pick the character manually. For information on selecting the correct characters manually, see Picking Homony.
In addition, Microsoft New ChangJie further integrates other Microsoft products to offer a more flexible IME user interface - you may move IME Status Window anywhere, for example to the toolbar of an application. It also offers Intelligent Learining to streamline the typing task.
