Limit the Number of Articles Fetched

You might want to limit how many article headers to download at once. This is important for slow connections, off-line reading, or simply to avoid getting stuck downloading hundreds or thousands of headers when you did not intend that.
Global Setting
Server - Properties - Operation Tab
Set a global limit here. It will apply to all groups, every time you download article headers, unless overridden. You can get more headers as long as the server count shows greater than zero.
If you decide that you want to download all article headers, more, or less than this limit, use the following command at any time:
Newsgroup - Retrieve Limited Number of Headers (also in the right-click  Group Pane Popup menu)

Newsgroup - Properties - Overrides Tab
You can set a different limit for each group individually. This will override the global setting, if any. It can be more or less than the global setting, or can be used if there is no global setting.

Manual Limits

You can specify the number of headers to fetch at any time by using the above command for one (or more) groups.
This command takes precedence and overrides any global or group limit. Gravity will prompt you for the number. Note that you can download more, as well as fewer, article headers than any limits.
The number entered is sticky - Gravity remembers it for the next time you use the command.
