Hello world with LUA

For those, who will not only use LUA for their game, I would like to show some possibilties to integrate lua in C.

Integration of libraries

#pragma comment(lib, "lib/lualib")

Header - Files

Creation of an instance.

lua_State* L;

int main(int argc, char* argv[])
{

Open Lua.

L = lua_open();

Open required libraries. For our Hello we only need the base-library and the IO-libraries.

luaopen_base(L);
// luaopen_string(L);
// luaopen_table(L);
// luaopen_math(L);
// luaopen_debug(L);
luaopen_io(L);

Execute Lua-File

lua_dofile(L,"my.lua");

Closing Lua.

lua_close(L);

Ready

return 0;
}
