Edit Menu Commands


Reverses the last edit or effect.


Reverses the last undo.


Copies the selection into the clipboard and deletes it from the sound.


Copies the selection into the clipboard.


Copies the selection directly to a new file.


Pastes the clipboard into the sound.


Pastes the clipboard to a new Sound window.


Pastes the clipboard into the sound at a specified location.


Mixes the clipboard with the sound.


Crossfades the clipboard with the sound.


Overwrites the sound with the clipboard sound.


Replaces the selection with the sound in the clipboard.


Deletes the selection.


Trims silence from the the ends of the selection.


Deletes the ends of the sound outside the selection (trims off the ends).


Replaces the selection with silence.


Inserts silence into the sound of a length you specify in seconds. The silence is inserted at the start marker's position.


Moves the start and finish markers to the left and right sides of the . This selects all the sound currently displayed in the graph.


Moves the start marker to the beginning of the file and the finish marker to the end of the file so that the entire file is selected.


Controls which channel of a stereo sound will be used or modified by editing or effects. You can use this menu to copy a single channel from a stereo sound or apply an effect to only one channel. The currently selected channel is shown in the status bar. The channel setting has no effect when recording, using the , or using rate modifying effects such as and .


Shows a menu of marker related commands. These commands let you set markers to an exact time or sample position and move the markers to the current playback/recording position.


Shows a menu of cue point related commands. These commands let you edit cue points, drop cue points during playback/recording, move the start marker to a cue point, or split a file based on cue points.
