Trim
Menu Command: Edit | Trim
Removes the ends of the sound that are outside the selection, keeping only what is selected. The ends are not copied to the clipboard. Note that if only the left or right channel is selected in a stereo sound, then only that channel is trimmed. Since it is not possible for one channel to be longer than the other, the ends of the trimmed channel are padded with silence.
To trim:
- Select the part of the sound to keep. See Editing Overview.
- Choose Trim from the Edit menu or click on the Trim button.
