LibreOffice on Slackware

The day before yesterday was an exciting day for users of OpenOffice.org, as it was the day the birth of LibreOffice.

LibreOffice is a productivity suite that is compatible with other major office suites, and available on a variety of platforms. It is free software and therefore free to download, use and distribute.

OpenOffice is dead - Long live LibreOffice!

LibreOffice is completely based on the last OpenOffice.org version, but with the improvements included. It's still officially in "Beta1″ status, but it is a working product.
The main issues at the moment are:

I used the original OpenOffice.org SlackBuilds (with permission from the author) and adapted them for LibreOffice.
If you can't wait to test this new suite, you can download the pre-built packages from my , for both 32 and 64-bits Slackware.
