Open a file in Office Word

You can use Office Word to open files in any of several formats.

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button button image, and then click Open.
  2. In the Open dialog box, click the type of file that you want to open.
  3. Click the file, and then click Open.

Save an Office Word file in anther file format

You can save Office Word documents to any of several file formats.

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button button image, and then click Save As.
  2. In the Save As dialog box, in the Save as type list, click the file type that you want.
  3. In the File name box, type a name for the file.
  4. Click Save.
