Open a WordPerfect document in Word

Some of the content in this topic may not be applicable to some languages.

You can use Microsoft Office Word to open a document that was created in WordPerfect 5.x or 6.x.

Important If you make changes to the document, you cannot save it as a WordPerfect document.

Note The File menu has been replaced with the Microsoft Office Button .

1. Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Open.
2. In the Open dialog box, select WordPerfect 5.x or WordPerfect 6.x.
3. Click the file, and then click Open.
