Use these options to change the way that worksheet data is presented in the chart.

Chart data range Displays the range of the worksheet data that is plotted in the chart. To change the source data of the chart, select the existing range, and then type a new range. You can also click in the Chart data range box, and then select the range on the worksheet. The Collapse Dialog button at the right end of this box temporarily minimizes and moves the dialog box so that you can select cells on the worksheet. To return to the entire dialog box, click this button again after you select the range.

Switch Row/Column Switches between plotting the data series in the chart from the rows or the columns of the worksheet.

Legend Entries (Series) Lists existing data series names. You can add, edit, and remove data series from the chart without affecting the data on your worksheet.Add Click to add a new data series to the chart. Edit Click to make changes to the data series that you select in the Legend Entries (Series) box. Remove Click to remove the data series that you select in the Legend Entries (Series) box from the chart.

Move Up and Move Down Click these buttons to move a selected data series in the Legend Entries (Series) list box up or down in the list. This changes the order in which the data series is plotted in the chart.

Horizontal (Categories) Axis Labels Lists existing horizontal (category) axis labels.Edit Click to modify the horizontal (category) labels.

Hidden and Empty Cells Click to plot hidden worksheet values in the chart and to specify how you want empty worksheet cells in a data series to be shown in the chart.
