Gravity File System (Versions 2.9.x and up)

Common Files
By default, Gravity installs to "Program Files" although another install folder can be selected. The files written to the installation folder are the executable file, dictionaries, and other shared files necessary for the actual operation of the application. Major Gravity versions are kept in different folders such as:
"C:\Program Files\Microplanet\Gravity 2.9"

User Data
User databases and settings are written to the user folders. These files are not by the (un)installer.
In Windows XP, user data is written to:
  "C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Gravity"
In Windows Vista:
  "C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\(Local or Roaming)\Gravity"

Import Backups
When Gravity Imports a *.gdx file, it saves one backup of the database(s) and some other files to a directory. These files are not deleted by the (un)installer. In Windows XP, the backup directory is in:
C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Gravity\ with a directory name similar to:
newsdb2.9-20_08_05_07_08_09-backup

Registry
Beginning with Version 2.9.x,  all Gravity registry entries are located in the following key:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MicroPlanet\Gravity 2.9"

Older Gravity versions (before 2.9) used 2 registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MicroPlanet\Gravity
  - and -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicroPlanet
The second key is important. If you delete it, the spell checker will not work properly.
