Tools - Global Options - Updates
You can configure Gravity to automatically check for newer versions at startup (or disable the check). When this is enabled, Gravity will connect to SourceForge and read a tiny text file that contains the latest version. It sends and retrieves no other information.

Help - Check for Updates
You can also check manually any time with this command.
