FAQs - About Gravity (general capabilities)

Q:  Is Gravity an Online or Offline Reader?A:   Both. These days most users use on-line reading. Because of the off-line features, at times you have to connect and reconnect manually (off-line users do not want Gravity connecting automatically).

Q:  Can Gravity filter on "extra" or "all"  headers?

A:    Starting with Build 2.9.11, yes - sort of.

Q:  Can I set an ID Token or FQDN in the Message-ID?A:   No, not as of Build 2.9.14.

Q:  Can Gravity show groups from different servers in one list?A:   No, Gravity supports multiple servers, but separately. However, you can do this with a local news server or proxy like Hamster, Newsproxy, or Newsplex.

Q:  Does Gravity use Plain Text or  Regular Expression filtering?

A :   Both. Gravity's filters, rules and scoring can use either. You can mix them together. Gravity's regular expressions are Perl Compatible Regular Expressions (PCREs, ver 4.4).
