You can use Mozilla to read the newsgroups. For a newsgroup, use a URL of the form news://
my.newsserver.com
/
newsgroup,
in which my.newsserver.com
is the fully qualified domain name of your news server (your Internet service provider should give you this name), and newsgroup
is the name of the newsgroup you want to read. For example, assuming that your news server is news.myisp.net
, you can browse the comp.os .linux.setup
newsgroup by typing the following URL in the Location field of the Netscape Web browser:
news://news.myisp.net/comp.os.linux.setup
You can also use the Google Groups page at http://groups.google.com/ to search for specific items in the comp.os.linux
newsgroups or browse that newsgroup.
