PureBasic

A high-level language based on BASIC, a revival of sorts that focuses on keeping programming linear and simple. PureBasic is a good learning tool with a few games under its belt, including Bricklinerby Wegroup, Krakout 2 Unlimited(a remake of the Commodore 64 game Krakout), and a few titles by Reelmedia.
