Voice Settings
Tool | Speech Converter, Voice Settings button
Use these settings to change the voice, volume, speed, and pitch. Note that not all voice engines support all settings or allow them to be finely adjusted.
Voice changes the voice to use. Windows usually includes just one voice, but others can be installed. Installing the Microsoft Speech SDK, for example, will install additional voices.
Volume changes how loud the voice is. Normally full volume is used.
Speed changes how slow or fast the voice speaks. Choose a setting you find most intelligible.
Pitch changes the tone of the voice. Some voices can be changed up or down by a full octave.
Rate is the default sampling rate used when saving the speech to a file. This is used only if the selected file attributes do not specify a rate.
