Plug-in Menu

Menu Command: Effect | Plug-in

The Effect | Plug-in menu lists all the effect plug-in modules detected by GoldWave. To use plug-in effects, select the module menu item containing the effect, then select the effect from the submenu that appears. For example, to use a DirectX plug-in, select the DirectX menu item from the Effect | Plug-in menu, then select the specific effect from the submenu that appears. If DirectX is not listed, download and install the DirectX module first.

GoldWave checks for new plug-ins only during startup, so if you install a new plug-in, you must restart GoldWave for it to be detected.

To add a DirectX plug-in to the menu, install the plug-in first, run GoldWave, then use the Options | Plug-in | Effect | DirectX command to select the plug-in. Restart GoldWave for the new plug-in to be detected and added to the Effect | Plug-in | DirectX menu.

To add VST plug-ins to the menu, install the VST plug-in first, run GoldWave, then use the Options | Plug-in | Effect | VST command and follow the directions. VST help is available here (if installed). If the VST module is not installed, download and install the VST module first.
