Typographical Conventions

• Italic
• Used for filenames, usernames, directories, commands, hostnames, URLs, and terms when they are first introduced.
• Constant width
• Used for Perl module and function names, and when showing code and computer output.
• Constant width bold
• Used to indicate user input in examples.
• Constant width bold italic
• Used for parts of a command line that are user replaceable, or code annotations.
