For me, personally, and I know many of you will relate to what I'm about to say...

I have wasted so much time and energy fighting idiots. Many of us have. All the fighting and negativity have had a negative impact on my work, my family, and my overall physical and mental health. As I'm sure it has effected many of you.

At this point, I'm so tired, so fed up, so ready for something positive, that I just simply want to move on. I just want to do something positive with positive people.

There are a lot of things that happened that I'm absolutely furious about. However, resentment is more poisonous to me than it is to those I am resentful towards. I have to move on for my own good.

I'm not saying I wont cooperate with clearly stating our purpose and the concrete reasons whey we forked. I will provide any information that is requested of me to the best of my ability. However, I have absolutely no interest in writing letters and getting into it with anyone over this topic anymore.

I just want to move on and do something positive with ImpressCMS. I don't have the energy, or time, for anything else.

I think many of you can understand.

I'm with you James. I have the same exact feelings.

Herko, I don't care if you write the open letter you describe, but it won't accomplish anything.

I hope that the ImpressCMS participants won't hang out at xoops.org posting criticisms every time an announcement is made.

Don't worry Dave I won't be over there posting criticisms.

I'll swallow my pride now.

The post will not be on xoops.org, so members looking there will not be confronted with it (unless the Usual Suspects link to it). And I'll clearly state that it is not a fight, but a personal view.

Dave, it may not accomplish anything in the way xoops is managed, but it will accomplish one thing: I would have this off my chest, and for me it's a validation for the 6 years I have put into XOOPS, that I am just giving up on.
Plus, it is a different signal about my own work and motivations then anyone can find on xoops.org in the Usual Suspects' posts about me.

My name has been dragged through the mud too many times, and I need the other side of the story told, so people can make up their own minds about me.

Herko

i agree, and i'll bite my tongue from now on and not respond. but I also agree with Herko's points.

Although it looks like someone at xoops.org is removing the said posts and things like that.

david has lost many posts.

and since i posted there the other day I have also had posts removed.

I'm pretty sure that others have had posts removed.

they can't say it's a technical hitch because posts i have made recently have been removed, and they weren't exactly provocative posts either. so i hope someone has a backup of some of the liableous comments etc.

That libelous post about me "hijacking" the servers has dropped off the SERPs in Google, so I'm assuming it's gone from x.org. I don't know for sure. I've been too busy to check.

I am one of those who are more likely to raise their voice Dave.

But the arguments have had too much bad effect on my own health.

I'm not interested in more arguments now - I want to get to work

I would like to know if you guys have basically abandoned the draft proposal team? I thought you had agreed to wait a bit and see?

Is any point in us wasting any more huge slabs of time working on it? We have just spent *weeks* working on this. I kid you not, *weeks* of our time.

It is not easy to fix years of damage overnight, but we are very close. The write up is 50% complete. Can you not wait a bit longer? Particularly the Foundation which has made an undertaking to these people?

No offense to you and your team, Simon, but I think you know what my answer is. For me, it's time to move on. I wont speak for anyone else though.
